When – Sunday 16 September 2018

Where – various rides across the country in parallel with the main ride taking place from the NSW Police Academy Wall of Remembrance to the National Police Memorial in Canberra

As part of the inaugural Police Week celebrations in 2018 the PFA is planning a Remembering Mates Century Ride.

Each jurisdiction will hold their own ride which will consist of a 100Km route that will end at their  jurisdiction’s memorial. It is planned that the ceremony at the National Police Memorial will then be broadcast back to the various state locations making this a truly national event.

The ACT/NSW route will run from the Police Academy, Goulburn to National Police Memorial, Canberra. The duration of the ride will vary. For some riders it could take 2.5 hours whereas for others it could be 5 hours. It is therefore planned that there be two cohorts of riders and that they would indicate their speed at registration thus determining what group they would ride in.

All riders will then assemble at the AFP Majura complex before riding as one group to the memorial, for a service at 3 pm, which will be telecast to the states.

Registrations will open June 2018 via this website, where details of your state organiser will also be posted.
